LOUGHTON: Deer crash leaves man in hospital

A MAN is in hospital with serious head injuries after his car hit a deer.

The 60-year-old from Buckhurst Hill was driving along the A104 Epping New Road, in Loughton from the Robin Hood Roundabout when his car collided with the animal.

The road was closed for four and a half hours while police examined the scene.

The man, who was driving a Lotus Kit car, was taken to Whipps Cross Hospital.

Anyone who witnessed the incident which happened at 6.10pm on Saturday, May 10, should call PC Michele Lockyer at the Chigwell Road Policing Unit, on 01279 621804.
