THE son of a grandfather who ran off with a 16-year-old schoolgirl has said he thinks the pair are hiding somewhere in Redbridge.
Lisa Wright, who was due to sit her GCSEs next week, disappeared from her home in Dagenham three weeks ago.
Her worried parents were fearing for her safety until she contacted them revealing she had run off with 46-year-old Nigel Trowbridge who she "wanted to marry."
Now the man's son, Glyn Trowbridge, 20, has claimed he suspects that the missing lovestruck couple are hiding somewhere in the borough, possibly in Ilford.
Mr Trowbridge told the Sunday People newspaper: "I feel physically sick.
"It's like something out of the Jerry Springer Show where my dad will become my baby's uncle and grandad, while Lisa will be her aunt and grandmother.
"I can't get my head around it all.
"I have no dad now. He's just another man to me."
Police, who searched Mr Trowbridge's flat after Lisa Wright's parents reported her missing, say they are unable to act further as the girl is a consenting adult.
They also said she is not technically a missing person because she has returned to the family home on a number of occasions since her disappearance.
Nevertheless both of the couple's family are now desperately trying to track the pair down.
