Organisers of the popular Stow Festival are celebrating after the community event was nominated in two categories at this year’s UK Festival Awards.

Established in 2011, the festival has played host to more than 100 bands and artists, using 23 different venues across E17, making Stow Festival a real community endeavour.

It isn’t the first time the music festival has been recognised. In 2011, the volunteer-run Stow Festival won the TalkTalk Digital Heroes award (London region) for its collaboration between The Stow Festival and Walthamstow Scene.

In order to triumph at the UK Festival Awards, Stow Festival needs you to vote for them online. Entrants will also be in with a chance of winning two VIP tickets to every festival that wins an award, along with an iPad mini.

“We are thrilled that Stow Festival has been nominated in two categories at this year’s UK Festival Awards,” says organiser Nick Bason.

“The festival was a triumph, with over 5,000 people enjoying more than 100 bands and performers in some of E17’s best venues. Winning an award would be a recognition not only of the hard work that is put into the festival by all our volunteers and supporters, but also would help us promote the range of musical talent in Walthamstow. Please vote for Stow Festival!”
