High tea is being taken to new heights this autumn- into orbit in fact.
From next week the ArcelorMittal Orbit in Stratford is inviting visitors to enjoy a cuppa' and cakes at 80m above London.
Indulge your palate with a selection of delicate finger sandwiches, freshly baked buttery scones with dollops of clotted cream and strawberry jam, a collection of cakes and pastries including a chocolate brownie, Bakewell tart and fruit tart, all washed down with a refreshing cup or two of tea – or a glass of Champagne.
As you eat, take in the views of some of London’s most iconic buildings including St Paul’s Cathedral, The O2, Canary Wharf, The Shard and Alexandra Palace, as well as the world-famous sporting venues of Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park.
Tables are available to book for up to 10 people on 11 October at noon, 1.30pm, 3pm and 4.30pm and on 22 November and 13 December at 12.30pm, 2pm and 3.30pm. All reservations must be made by the Wednesday before the date.
