Lyon midfielder wants Arsenal talks
Hatem Ben Arfa

LYON'S Hatem Ben Arfa admits he has discussed a potential move to Arsenal after recent speculation linked him with the Emirates side.

Arsene Wenger has previously spoken of his admiration for the newly-crowned French Player of the Year, and it seems talks have begun about a possible transfer from the Ligue 1 champions.

Marseilles were thought to be favourites to land 21-year-old Ben Arfa, but the creative midfielder confessed he would be tempted by a move to Arsenal if it would guarantee him first-team football.

"It is true that we have spoken about Arsenal, but we will see how it is going to happen," said Ben Arfa in the Daily Mail. "If I stay at Lyon, it is to play. Wherever I go, it will be to play.

"The season is not over yet, two games are remaining (one in Ligue 1 and the Coupe de France final).

"Today I am at Lyon. We will see what tomorrow is made of. I try to give my maximum and to give everything when I am on the pitch.

"It is frustrating when I am on the bench but it is part of the job."
