An appeal has been launched to find Epping Forest's 2015 Citizen's of the Year.

Epping Forest District Council's annual search honours residents who have displayed outstanding courage or service to the area.

The Young Citizen of the Year title will also be awarded to someone aged between 11 to 18.

The winners, as nominated by the public, will be invited to attend the civic awards ceremony in February next year.

Chairman of the council Tony Boyce said: "The annual civic awards ceremony enables the Council to thank publically those special residents of our district who always go the extra mile and often think of others before themselves.

"Without them our district would be a much poorer place."

Nomination forms can be obtained from Epping Forest District Council and all votes must be made by November 21.
