The man, from Chingford, was arrested on December 9 2013 following a raid at St John's School in Bury Lane, Epping on December 1 that year, which saw thousands of pounds and around 50 iPads stolen.
He returned to Loughton police station today and has been bailed to return on October 14.
A second suspect, a 35-year-old man from Harringay, has been released without charge.
