Chelmsford Magistrates Court
A man has appeared in court charged with stealing from a petrol station safe.
Partheepan Rajathurai, 30, of Asthall Gardens in Ilford, is accused of stealing £45,000 from a safe at the Four Wantz BP Garage on the A414 in Ongar on March 10.
Mr Rajathurai appeared at Chelmsford Magistrates Court last week charged with burglary.
It is alleged that he entered the garage as a trespasser and stole cash from a safe inside.
He has been released on bail and will appear at Chelmsford Crown Court on an unconfirmed date for a case management hearing and to enter a plea.
