Santa is set to start the countdown to Christmas by switching on Debden’s lights tonight.
The town’s entertainment will begin at 3.30pm on Brickclamps Path, Loughton, with live Christmas carols performed by Thomas Willingale Primary School and Debden Park High School.
Father Christmas is set to arrive on a horse-drawn sleigh where he will meet with town mayor Sharon Weston to start the holiday countdown in The Broadway.
There will also be free mince pies and mulled wine.
