Increased bus fares come into force on several Epping Forest routes this week.

EOS London, which runs services operating between Loughton, Epping, Waltham Abbey and Harlow, has raised the prices of day tickets for students and adults to £3 and £5 respectively, and almost doubled the cost of a single fare to £4.

The increase in fares comes as the company has announced the new HC1 service, which will travel to Harlow College from Epping Tube station and North Weald.

The service will begin on January 26, when the 66 route will also stop travelling to Harlow.

The 66 will now travel to Waltham Cross, and the 66A will travel between Waltham Abbey and Harlow.

A spokesman for EOS said the changes were being made to improve reliability on its services, which have been consistently hit by bad traffic since the company started operating in September 2014.
