A man who died after being hit by a car has been named as Erich Roland Spielman.
Mr Spielman, 92, from Loughton, was killed in a bizzare coincidence after being hit by a car driven by a 92-year-old driver on January 28.
Police were called to the scene in Alderton Hill, Loughton, at just after 6.50pm following reports of a collision between the driver of a black Renault Modus and Mr Spielman, who was treated for head injuries and reported as "conscious and breathing" at the scene.
He was transferred to Whipps Cross Hospital in Leytonstone where he later died.
The driver of the car, a 92-year-old man from the Buckhurst Hill area was not injured and was allowed to leave the scene.
