A policeman has been ordered to undertake a 12-month community order after bullets were found in his home.
Scott Roberts, 28, of Chigwell, was suspended from his role as a Metropolitan Police Constable in November following the discovery of five clips of 10 rounds, three Nato grade bullets and two single rounds at his home without a certificate.
Roberts pleaded guilty in Barkingside Magistrates Court on Friday to possessing the ammunition and was ordered to undertake 150 hours of unpaid work and pay a surcharge of £60 as well as undergoing a community order for one year.
Met police have confirmed that Roberts is subject to a misconduct investigation and will remain suspended until further notice.
