An Indian school is set to benefit from a share of thousands of pounds raised by a school staff pantomime.

Teachers and support staff at Chigwell School staged a performance of Peter Pan over the festive period.

Money raised from tickets has now been counted, with the total reaching £2,500.

The money will be split between the Timothy Pruss Memorial School in India and charity Save the Children.

The tenth biannual show included singing, dancing and slapstick comedy and was directed by sixth form drama students Will Weightman and Barney Walsh.

Barney said: “The panto was an undeniable success, not only due to the laughs but also due to both nights being sold out.”
