Three defibrillators have been installed around a town in a bid to reduce the chance of fatal cardiac arrests.
The devices, which deliver a high energy electric shock to the patient’s heart, have been installed in Waltham Abbey at the town hall in Highbridge Street, Mac’s Bar in Farm Hill Road and the Sport and Social Club in Town Mead.
They were put in place by Waltham Abbey Town Council after lottery funding was awarded.
Training sessions provided by the Community Heartbeat Trust will be held at the club house in Town Mead on May 12 and the town hall on May 16.
