The average voter turnout for Epping Forest District Council wards was 30.46 per cent, it has been announced.
The figure, which came after ballot papers were verified this morning (May 6) at Theydon Bois Village Hall, is an average of the turnout in each ward rather than an overall figure for the district.
No percentage for the 2015 local elections is available on the council website, but this year's figure was a slight drop on 2014, when it was 31.9 per cent.
This year Buckhurst Hill East had the highest turnout, with 41 per cent of registered voters having their say.
In Waltham Abbey, the Honey Lane and South West wards both had the joint lowest turnout for the district, with only 23 per cent voting.
The votes will be counted at Debden Park High School in Loughton tomorrow.
Turnout for the Police and Crime Commissioner (PCC) election was 26.67 per cent in Epping Forest, slightly higher than the countywide figure of 26 per cent.
A replacement for outgoing Conservative PCC Nick Alston is expected to be announced later this afternoon.
