Bill, Ben and Little Weed ventured out of their garden and into the High Street this week to help promote a bank holiday weekend event.
On Sunday (May 29), 10 different gardens will open their gates to the public for Epping Open Gardens.
Starting at Shaftesbury Farm in Lindsey Street, a variety of styles will be on show including small paved courtyards to large open expanses with views over open countryside to Copped Hall.
Refreshments will be available and a raffle will be held, with the event raising money for the Cystic Fibrosis Trust and local charity the Chigwell Riding Trust.
Organiser Susan Axford, 56, of Sprigs Oak, said: “It’s for two really worthy charities and it should be a really nice afternoon out.”
The event runs between midday and 5pm.
For £4 tickets, phone Geoff Walton on 07712 231 762 or buy them on the day from Shaftesbury Farm, where there will also be parking.
