People will be able to quiz officials over a new junction to ease congestion on the M11 at a series of events.

Junction 7a will be built between junction seven in Hastingwood and junction eight at Stansted, with Essex County Council planners hoping it will improve access to Harlow.

The motorway is often hit by severe delays, and congestion can affect surrounding roads in Epping Forest.

It is thought that a new junction could ease these problems.

A public consultation was launched this month, with question and answer sessions planned throughout June to allow residents to question experts on the subject.

Andrew Cook, the council’s director for transport and infrastructure, said: “This plan has been in development for many years and aims to provide Harlow with a vital road link to help promote regeneration across the area.

“I would urge residents to make use of these events and take the opportunity to ask any questions they may have about the plans.”
