A house was ransacked after burglars smashed through a ground floor window with a brick.
The criminals broke into the home in Lower Bury Lane, Epping between 5.30pm on Saturday (July 23) and 8.50am the next morning.
After entering through the smashed window, the thieves took cash from kitchen drawers.
They also stole jewellery and two Apple laptops from the master bedroom.
Essex Police said the raiders carried out a “messy search” of other rooms but nothing else was stolen.
Anyone with information should call Loughton CID on 101.
