At the end of the last century, Pulp's frontman Jarvis Cocker famously sang about meeting up in the year 2000.
It was 1995 and hardly anyone used the internet, had access to it, or even really knew what it was for. Happier, simpler times you might say.
Fast forward to 2000, and survivors of the Millenium Bug were beginning to embrace the net's potential. Home shopping was truly born.
But some famous brands and names were far quicker than others to get the hang of e-commerce, as it was once called.
