A four-year-old boy was injured in a hit-and-run crash in Theydon Bois.
The incident took place at around 3.15pm on Thursday (February 2) as the child was using the zebra crossing near Tesco in Coppice Row.
He was injured by a light blue Nissan Juke, which briefly stopped before leaving the scene.
The boy was taken to hospital with a suspected fractured leg and his injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.
