NEIGHBOURS are “appalled” after a sheep was stolen from a farm and killed.

The sheep, which was found in Manor Road, Loughton, was taken in the early hours of Monday, March 5.

Animal activist, Louise Helen Mitchell, who also runs the Epping Forest Against Organised Deer Hunting, said: “We are completely appalled by it.

“I don’t know what sort of people would do that. The trauma that animal must have gone through is enormous.

“We just want to get to the bottom of it.”

Essex Police believe the sheep was shot before being left on a public footpath nearby.

Anyone with any information should contact them on 101.
