A TREE has been planted in memory of a student who passed away following a long illness.
Nadiyah Chaudhri passed away on February 3, aged 17.
A magnolia tree was planted at the front of West Hatch High School, where Nadiyah spent five and a half years.
The Chigwell school student would have been year 12 at the sixth form.
Headteacher Frances Howarth said: “Nadiyah was a lovely, gentle student who always thought of others.
“The magnolia tree planted at the front of the school will make sure she is remembered and is always in our hearts.
“Our thoughts are with her family and the many friends she had at West Hatch.”
