CCTV images of a hit-and-run that left two men seriously injured have been released on the first anniversary of the incident.
The male pedestrians were hit by a car in Upton Lane, Forest Gate, at around 10.30pm on Sunday, March 27 2016.
The images show the car, believed to be a BMW, ploughing into the men as they crossed the road.
A 50-year-old man was treated for broken bones and still does not have full use of his right arm.
The second man, aged 52, was treated after a heart attack. Both were released from hospital the following day but their treatment is ongoing.
Detective Constable Stephen Field from Newham CID said: “We know there was a Renault Meganne which was driving directly behind at the time of the collision.
“The driver or anyone travelling in that vehicle may have vital information that can help us trace who was responsible."
