A series of valuable coins, including specimens from Nazi Germany and Japan, were stolen during a raid on a home.

Suspects are believed to have gained entry to a home in Bower Hill, Epping, between Monday June 5 and Wednesday, June 7, through the property’s rear patio doors.

A tin full of old coins was taken, some of which date back to the Second World War and include Churchill Crowns, Third Reich coins, Japanese coins and Queen Crowns.

Several items of jewellery were also taken, including a 1960s long service watch made by Bravingtons, which holds huge sentimental value to the owner.
