Police have named and shamed another driver who was caught drunk behind the wheel during a summer crackdown.

Emmanuel Bonah, was pulled over while driving on the M11 between Junction 5 for Loughton and Junction 6 for the M25 at Theydon Garnon on June 24 this year at around 10.35pm.

The 45-year-old, of Barnhill Road, Wembley, proved to be over the drink-drive limit and was banned from driving for 12 months.

Bonah was also fined £300, ordered to pay £85 costs, and a £30 victim surcharge.

Adam Pipe, Essex Police casualty reduction manager, said: “Drink and drug driving ruins lives and those who do it risk their safety and that of other road users.

“Our work to stop and catch people who drink and drug drive doesn’t stop.”

Essex Police arrested 107 people across the county between June 1 and June 30 as part of its campaign to tackle driving under the influence.

The force is releasing the names and photographs of those convicted as part of the scheme in the hope it will act as a deterrent to others prepared to get behind the wheel while drunk.
