Police have released CCTV images of two men they want to trace after bogus tradesmen called at a pensioner’s home.
Officers say the fraudster called at an address in Grosvenor Drive, Loughton, at around 11.30am on July 7.
The man approached his elderly victim, claiming to be a builder who had noticed the roof of the property needed repairing.
The victim then paid the suspect a three-figure sum to carry out the work, but the cowboy never returned.
It was also discovered £20 had been taken from a table inside the property.
A second man had previously approached the victim at an earlier date, but was challenged by neighbours.
Officers say they would like to identify and speak to both the men pictured in connection with the incidents.
