Anyone who saw the crash or who has dash cam footage of it is asked to contact police.
Police are appealing for witnesses of a crash between a motorbike and a car to come forward.
The incident happened in Epping High Road shortly after noon on Saturday August 5.
The rider of a grey Yamaha YZF R1 motorbike fled the scene after the smash with a black Ford Mondeo.
The driver was uninjured and the motorbike rider has since been located by police.
Witnesses or anyone with dash cam footage are asked to contact Pc Laura Shelley at Chigwell RPU on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
