A man sustained cuts to his head and arm and needed stitches after being attacked by a man wielding a knife and a crow bar.

The man in his 30s was approached by the suspect in Epping High Street on Tuesday August 15 between 9.30pm and 10.30pm.

The victim did not require hospital treatment.

Essex Police are treating the incident as isolated and say there is no further threat to the wider public.

The suspect is described as a mixed race man in his 20s, around 5ft 10ins tall and of slim build.
