A LORRY driver has been flown to hospital with life-threatening injuries after a serious motorway pile-up.
Emergency services rushed to the M25 at Waltham Abbey between junctions 25 and 27 at around 10am today (August 23).
When they got there they found two lorries and a car had crashed.
The driver of one lorry was airlifted to hospital, while the car driver and other lorry driver got away with minor injuries.
The motorway is closed clockwise, but anti-clockwise lanes have re-opened.
Police are still on scene investigating the crash.
Anyone who saw anything or has any information should call the Essex Police’s serious collision investigation unit on 101 or via collisionappeal@essex.pnn.police.uk.
