A man has been charged with attempted murder after a man was stabbed while sitting in a car.
Anthony Hamilton, 18, of Peterborough Road, Leyton, was charged by police today (Friday, September 15) following an incident in Cripsey Avenue, Ongar, on Wednesday.
He is due to appear at Chelmsford Magistrates’ Court later this afternoon.
Police also arrested a 20-year-old man from Buckhurst Hill yesterday on suspicion of attempted murder, who remains in custody for questioning.
An 18-year-old woman from Loughton arrested on suspicion of attempted murder has been released without charge.
Police were called to Cripsey Avenue at around 5pm on Wednesday, where they found a man in his 20s suffering a stab wound to his stomach.
He was later taken to hospital by paramedics for treatment.
