Rush hour tailbacks were caused after a lorry overturned into a field on the M11.

The vehicle rolled into the field by a section of roadworks near Loughton at around 6am this morning (Monday, November 7) on the southbound carriageway of the road.

Emergency services attended the scene, but no lanes were closed while the incident was dealt with.

The crash caused problems for commuters, who experienced delays between Junction 6 for the M25 and Junction 4 for the North Circular.

Motorists can were still seeing an extra 20 minutes added to their journey times well into the afternoon as a result of the crash.
