A man has been charged with murder following the death of an elderly woman at a Buckhurst Hill care home.
Anthony Jennings, 32, is accused of killing 94-year-old Ruby Wilson during an incident at Forest Place Nursing Home, in Roebuck Lane.
Police were called to the home at around 1.20pm on Wednesday (November 29), after reports a woman had suffered serious injuries.
When they arrived, Mrs Wilson had been pronounced dead at the scene.
A post-mortem examination carried out yesterday gave her preliminary cause of death as an incised wound to the neck.
Jennings, of Clinton Crescent, Ilford, was arrested on the day of the incident and has since been charged with murder.
He is due to appear at Chelmsford Magistrates’ Court later today.
