CUTE dogs and handsome hounds from across the area are being called upon to enter a charity's mutt-modelling show.

St Clare Hospice’s Cutest Canine Competition pits the most attractive dogs, young and old, against one another ahead of its annual five km countryside walk on February 25.

The winner will receive a hamper of dog treats along with the coveted title of St Clare’s Cutest Canine.

Events fundraiser, Emma Broadbent, said: “We have been running the doggy photo competition as part of our Winter Walkies event for the past four years and have had an overwhelming response.

"Last year’s contest really captured the imagination of our animal-loving supporters, who cast hundreds of votes to make Poppy, the Staffordshire Bull Terrier from Church Langley, the overall winner.

“We know how much people love their pets, so this year we hope the competition will be just as successful and we can’t wait to see which top dog will be voted St Clare’s Cutest Canine.”

To enter, go to www.stclarehospice.org.uk/event/winter-walkies and register your dog's details along with a picture.

The winner will be decided by the number of 'likes' it receives on St Clare's Facebook page.

The event takes place at St Clare Hospice in Hastingwood Road, Hastingwood.
