A singer-song writer who composed a ballad about the country's most famous highwayman is set to return to the town.
On May 16 Reg Meuross will play the Dick Turpin centered 'Lizzie Loved a Highwayman' at Epping Music Club.
The award winning Somerset singer-songwriter composed the song in the Bluebell Inn in Hempstead, which was Turpin’s birthplace.
This concert is part of the Meuross Two Albums Tour, encompassing his recent releases Faraway People and Songs About A Train.
Tickets are £10 and available online from wegottickets.com, via Little Sew n Sews, 307 High Street, Epping or on the door if there are any left.
