A refund is being offered to environmentally concious parents that ditch disposal nappies.
Parents who use reusable cloth nappies can claim £30 back from Essex County Council by providing receipts and either a photo of maternity exemption or the child's birth certificate.
With the 24 reusable nappies a standard baby needs in their pre-potty career costing £80, parents can save up to £1,000 compared to buying disposables.
Disposable nappies also make a serious environmental dent, with the average child getting through 5,000, non-biodegradable pairs.
Email waste.management@essex.gov.uk with any questions regarding the £30 cloth nappy incentive.
