A class of nursery children got into the royal spirit with a garden party ahead of Harry and Meghan's big day.

On May 17 Scribbles Day Nursery pupils tucked into tea and cake on its lawn in Vicerage Lane, North Weald Bassett.

After entertainer Jo Jingles delivered a music and movement class, the mini-royalists swung mallets in a game of croquet.

Leslie Seville, nursery manager, said: "The children had a fun time. We had dancing and music and played croquet on the lawn.

"It was a great colourful day and all the children and staff were uplifted and excited.

"We have been celebrating all week doing wedding activities including red, white and blue Playdough. We have also sent the happy couple a card made by the children."

Did you or your children celebrate the Royal Wedding in style? Did you host a street party or mini-fete? We would love to hear from you.
