A enormous cheque was handed to a hospice's mascot by the winner of a school's race.
In May more than 200 pupils of Moreton Church of England primary school took on the Mile for Moreton, some of them with parents in tow.
Now in its fourth year, the day was held again in aid of St Clare Hospice which provides care for people with life limiting illnesses in West Essex.
On Tuesday morning Clare Bear - the hospice's cuddly representative - was presented with a cheque for £1068.57 by the Year 5 race winner.
The other half of the money was given to the school's PTA.
