The Forest's green credentials have been recognised with two awards.
As well as receiving the prestigious Green Flag Award in appreciation of its facilities and use of open space, Epping Forest received a Green Heritage Award for its historic features and the high standard of conservation.
It is now the fifteenth year in a row the Forest has won both awards.
Philip Woodhouse, chairman of the City Corporation’s Epping Forest and City Commons Committee, said: “This award demonstrates our commitment to conserving and protecting Epping Forest for future generations.
“The Forest is an important part of the local community and to the many visitors we receive every year.
“This could not be achieved without the passion and dedication of staff and volunteers who help to manage the Forest.”
