Parents with more time on their hands now kids at back at school have been asked to help a hospice.
Hastingwood-based charity, St Clare Hospice, is inviting parents throughout West Essex and East Herts to volunteer.
St Clare Hospice’s ‘back to school’ volunteering appeal campaign addresses the need for more helping hands during the school day.
Rob Wallace, voluntary service manager, said: “This September, we are appealing to parents who have got a little spare time on their hands throughout the day after their children have gone back to school.
"We know that time is precious, but taking on a role at your local hospice can be a hugely rewarding way to spend your time.
"The benefits for you might include meeting new people, feeling happier and healthier, learning new skills, or keeping up existing ones.”
