A horror 42 hours across London has seen four people stabbed with two of the victims left dead.

This only includes incidents that Newsquest London is aware of and has reported on.

The incidents unfolded between March 20 and 21 in Wandsworth, Hither Green, Upton Park and Wembley.

Information about each incident is from the Metropolitan Police.

Woman, 31, stabbed to death at home in Hither Green

A 31-year-old woman has been stabbed to death at a home in Hither Green.

The incident happened at a property in Manor Park at 11.15pm on March 21.

Officers and London Ambulance Service crews attended and forced entry into the home and a woman was found injured.

She was pronounced dead at the scene shortly after.

A 24-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of murder at a different address in the nearby area.

He remains in police custody.

Man, 40, slashed in head near Wandsworth graveyard

A 40-year-old man was taken to hospital after being slashed in the head near a graveyard in Wandsworth.

The incident happened at Garratt Lane Old Burial ground just before 7.20am on March 20.

Officers and London Ambulance Service crews attended and found a man with a slash injury to his head.

He was taken to hospital for treatment where his condition was assessed as not life-threatening.

No arrests have been made as police enquiries continue.

Man in his 40s taken to hospital after stabbing in Upton Park

A man in his 40s was taken to hospital after a stabbing in Upton Park.

The incident happened in Queens Market just after 8.15pm on March 20.

Officers attended and he was taken to hospital where his injuries were assessed as not life-threatening.

No arrests have been made as police enquiries continue.

Man, 72, dies after stabbing on quiet residential street in Wembley

A 72-year-old man has died after being stabbed in Wembley.

The incident happened in Cromwell Road just before 12pm on March 21.

Officers and London Ambulance Service crews attended and a man was found injured.

He was pronounced dead at the scene shortly after.

Another 72-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of murder and taken to a north London police station.
