FIREFIGHTERS have rescued a person trapped after a three-vehicle crash in Leigh this afternoon.
Leighton Avenue had been shut off by police at its junction with London Road, near Iceland supermarket today following reports of a crash.
Police, ambulances and firefighters attended - with two fire crews from Rayleigh Weir and Southend assisting paramedics on the scene.
The emergency services released a casualty who was trapped following the crash, Essex Fire and Rescue Service has confirmed.
In a statement, an Essex Police spokesman said: “We were called to reports of a collision involving three vehicles in Leighton Avenue, Leigh, shortly before 3.10pm today.
“Officers attended and established no parties had suffered life-threatening or life-changing injuries.”
East of England Ambulance Service has also been contacted for comment.
