CBI Director General Digby Jones has joined forces with BAA Stansted managing director Terry Morgan to support the launch of a major new initiative targeted at business leaders in eastern England.
More than 90,000 copies of Meaning Business, the airport's new business magazine, are being sent to businesses in Essex, Hertfordshire, Norfolk, Suffolk, Cambridgeshire and Bedfordshire.
Commuters at some of the region's busiest rail stations will also be targeted.
Speaking at the launch, Mr Jones said: "This new publication for business leaders in the region could not have come at a better time. The whole region is on the brink of an exciting new era, and Stansted is now a major employer and driver for economic development in eastern England.
"I congratulate the team at Stansted for their energy in driving forward a positive agenda for business growth and success."
Mr Morgan said: "I'm delighted that Digby Jones, one of the UK's most prominent and successful business leaders, has given his full support to this launch, and to the place of Stansted at the very heart of the region's economy.
"Meaning Business will be published regularly, and puts us in direct touch with all of those, like us, who want to grow their businesses and be successful.
"Stansted already welcomes over three million business travellers a year, many of whom depend on our expanding route network for access to markets throughout Europe and the world.
"Today, Stansted takes a significant step forward in connecting the world of business. But it is only a first step, and I invite business and political leaders to follow our lead and to stand up for Stansted, and for everything the airport represents for businesses and communities throughout eastern England."
