Eton Manor put last week's first defeat of the season behind them to beat North Walsham 36-7 in London League One North on Saturday.

Hosts Manor took the lead when Callum McKie kicked a simple penalty, before Kevin Reed collected the ball from a maul and touched down.

A second score followed when Ian Edwards peeled off the back of a maul to cross, and five minutes later, Chris Jones outpaced the North Walsham defence to add a third try.

The visitors reduced the deficit after period of pressure when they scored a converted try but that was their highlight.

Stung into action by conceding, Manor scored their fourth and secured a bonus point as Ben Lockyer crossed to make it 22-7.

The half ended with Manor scoring for a fifth time thanks to a penalty try with the conversion successful.

After several near misses, Manor scored a sixth try when Michael Eghan outpaced everyone to run the length of the pitch and score.

Manor travel to Woodford on Saturday for their final fixture of 2014.

Elsewhere in League One North, Chingford lost 23-17 against Colchester. They travel to Barking on Saturday.

Bottom-of-the-league Woodford last 90-0 at Ruislip and remain pointless.

In London League Three North East, Wanstead were narrowly beaten 30-29 at Billericay. They travel to Upminster on Saturday.

Epping Upper Clapton are second in the Essex League One after a 43-17 win at Ilford Wanderers. They host Bancroft on Saturday.
