West Ham United are reportedly ready to stand by under fire manager Slaven Bilic and are not considering sacking the Croatian.

Questions over Bilic’s future at London Stadium were raised once again after Saturday’s 5-1 home loss to Arsenal – a defeat Bilic himself described as “humiliating”.

Despite the 48-year-old admitting his position was under pressure in the wake of the loss, Sky Sports claim sources at the club have confidence in his ability to change their fortunes.

Bilic, who joined West Ham in 2015, is the Hammers fourth manager since David Sullivan and David Gold bought the club in 2010 after Gianfranco Zola, Avram Grant and Sam Allardyce.

West Ham are currently a point and a place above the Premier League relegation zone having finished seventh last season.

Bilic defended his position on Saturday and feels his work since joining the club should earn him a stay of execution.

He said: “I am positive I can turn this around, but do I enjoy being in this position? No I don’t enjoy. Do I feel the pressure? Yes.

“Did I do enough last season for West Ham to get some credit? I think I did. At the same time I am 48 and I have spent 30 years in football, so I know how it works.”
