Arthur Masuaku says revenge will be at the forefront of his mind when West Ham United visit Vicarage Road on Saturday.

The Hammers were humbled 4-2 by Watford when they last met at London Stadium in September, despite racing to a 2-0 lead through Michail Antonio’s brace.

Masuaku played the full 90 minutes that day and says both he and the squad are eager to return the favour to Walter Mazzarri’s side.

He told the club website: “We want to get revenge on Saturday. I remember the game and we played so well in the first 40 minutes and should have killed off the game.

“I don’t know how we lost but we want to make amends for that defeat and hopefully we can win.”

United head into the match in fine form, having won six of their last 10 Premier League games.

They were denied all three points by a last-gasp Gareth McAuley header in their last league outing as West Bromwich Albion held the Irons to a 2-2 draw.

The France under-19 international did not feature against the Baggies, but is at a loss to understand how United came away without a win.

He said: “We were unlucky not to get the three points in the last game against West Brom.

“We could have got the victory if certain decisions had not gone against us. Hopefully we will make more luck in the next game.”
