After just a solitary season at London Stadium, Havard Nordtveit has left West Ham United.
The 26-year-old, who joined the Hammers on a free transfer from Borussia Monchengladbach last summer, returns to Germany after agreeing a five-year deal with Hoffenheim.
Nordtveit struggled to make any real impact on the West Ham starting XI, making just 11 Premier League starts as he was deployed as an emergency right-back and as cover in midfield.
Regardless, irons boss Slaven Bilic took the chance to thanks the Norwegian for his efforts during his short-lived stay.
He told the club website: “I would like to thank Havard for his commitment and hard work last season. He is an excellent professional and we wish him all the best at Hoffenheim.”
