Cedonia Anne Stimpson

STIMPSON Cedonia Anne Anne came from the beautiful Gower area of South Wales where her father was a dairy farmer. In 1954 she married Geoff and they settled down firstly in Walthamstow, later Chingford and finally to Woodford Green in 1968 where they brought up their sons Robert and Neil. Anne as she was called got involved in politics and chaired Chingford Young Wives and took on charity work and also became the fund-raiser for the Woodford Green Amenity Group. As a result the group had and still has a healthy bank balance enabling it to fund the annual Hanging Baskets in Woodford Green. Unfortunately in 2010 Anne was diagnosed with a serious form of dementia and over the next six years slowly declined but with the love and dedication of her carers Nadia and Lamia. She managed to find some enjoyment and battled on, but finally lost and died peacefully at her home on 14th September with her sons, husband, carers and friends by her side.
