The first batch of performers and venues have been announced for Stow Festival 2014, and it promises to be the most varied programme yet.
Hosted in 20 of the borough’s most popular and unusual venues including Ye Olde Rose & Crown, the William Morris Gallery, the Warrant Officer and Waltham Forest Library, the festival will kick off with musical comedy from Barry Cryer and Ronnie Golden. Cryer is best known for his role as panel member on hit radio comedy show I’m Sorry I Haven’t a Clue.
The maverick figure of John Otway will be joined by local favourites Steve White & The Protest Family, while The November Five and Thee Faction join forces with Northern Soul night Walls of Heartache for a floor filling Saturday night rock’n’soul Revue.
September 11 until September 14. Details: stowfestival.com
