To coincide with new mythical film Of Gods and Warriors starring film legend Terence Stamp (The Limey, Superman), a special sold out screening and Q&A took place last week at Stratford East Picturehouse.
The event brought together stars of the film, as well as Vikings from a historical re-enactment group called the Jorvik Viking, performing demonstrations in full battle gear for cinema audiences.
In the story, Princess Helle (new star Anna Demetriou) is rightful heir to the throne in her kingdom, but is forced to flee after she's framed for the murder of her father. Seeking guidance from the Viking God Odin (Stamp), she gains the training and wisdom she needs to fulfil her destiny. The film also stars Will Mellor (Broadchurch, Two Pints of Lager and a Packet of Crisps), Martyn Ford (Kingsman: The Golden Circle) and Ian Beattie (Game of Thrones, Alexander).
Having enjoyed its cinema run and even a showcase at MCM Comic Con in Manchester last weekend, Of Gods and Warriors is out now on Blu-ray, DVD and Digital from 101 Films.
