A rotary club raised more than £1,400 for a charity at the weekend.
Loughton, Buckhurst Hill and Chigwell Rotary Club held the fundraising evening at St Mary’s Church in High Street Loughton, on Saturday.
More than 200 residents were entertained by Britain’s Got Talent star Charlotte Jaconelli, who shot to fame on the show in 2012 and The Modality youth choir which performed alongside students from Chigwell, Woodford and Chingford high schools.
Money raised was donated to Loughton Food Bank and the Friends of Jubilee Lodge in Chigwell.
Rotary club President Pesh Kapasiawala said: “the event went very, very well, it was really successful.
“I am so pleased with the amount we raised for charity and Charlotte’s performance was very well received.
“We had a full house.”
